Wilson Isidor is reportedly seeking improved terms at Sunderland after the club made clear that it does not intend to sell the striker this summer.

According to Alan Nixon, Isidor would be open to remaining at the Stadium of Light but is looking for a significant pay rise as part of any new agreement. The report comes amid continued interest from other clubs, although Sunderland’s public position on the 25-year-old has remained firm.

Régis Le Bris recently dismissed speculation over a possible departure, stating that Isidor would stay and stressing the need for attacking depth ahead of a demanding season. The Sunderland head coach also indicated that the striker is happy at the club.

That stance has reduced the likelihood of an immediate transfer, despite previous interest from West Ham, Ipswich and Hull. There has been no confirmed indication that Sunderland have opened negotiations over a sale, while Isidor has not been reported to have asked to leave.

Instead, the latest development appears to centre on the player’s contractual position.

Isidor remains part of Le Bris’ plans and has continued to feature during Sunderland’s pre-season preparations. He also scored in the club’s 2-0 friendly victory over Lens, reinforcing his place among the attacking options available to the manager.
