Tottenham in talks with Manchester City over Savinho and Omar Marmoush double move

Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Manchester City over potential moves for both Savinho and Omar Marmoush as the north London club explore an ambitious double deal before the transfer window closes.

Discussions over Savinho are understood to be further advanced, with Tottenham having worked on the Brazil international’s situation for a significant period. The winger is reported to be open to the move, although no agreement has yet been reached between the clubs.

Talks over Marmoush are at an earlier stage. Tottenham have now opened discussions over the Egypt international as they assess the possibility of strengthening their attack with two senior players from City.

The combined value of the two deals has been reported at around £150 million, but that figure reflects Manchester City’s valuation rather than an agreed package. City are understood to value Savinho at approximately £85 million, while they would also expect to receive more than the £59 million they paid Eintracht Frankfurt for Marmoush in January 2025.

Savinho’s potential move has been under consideration for longer and therefore appears to be the more developed of the two negotiations. Marmoush, by contrast, has only recently emerged as a serious option for Tottenham, although the opening of talks indicates that the club are prepared to explore a second major attacking deal with City.

Manchester City’s position is significant. The club are understood to be willing to consider offers for both players if their valuations are met, but there is currently no club-to-club agreement for either transfer.

For Tottenham, the pursuit reflects a clear attempt to add pace, directness and additional goals to the attacking unit. Savinho offers width and one-on-one ability, while Marmoush can operate across several forward positions and provides a more direct scoring threat.

The situation remains fluid and the two deals should still be treated separately. Tottenham are actively negotiating over both players, but Savinho’s case is more advanced and neither move is yet close enough to be described as complete.

Any progress will depend on Tottenham meeting City’s financial demands and finalising individual terms with the players before the window shuts.
