Roma are making progress in talks to sign Jayden Oosterwolde from Fenerbahçe, with negotiations advancing over a loan deal that could become an obligation to buy.

Roma are making progress in talks to sign Jayden Oosterwolde from Fenerbahçe as the Serie A club push to strengthen Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad before the transfer window closes.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, negotiations have advanced and Roma are aiming to complete an agreement on Saturday.
The proposed deal is structured as a loan that could become an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met, with Fenerbahçe’s response now awaited.
Roma had already submitted an initial proposal for the Netherlands international, who has emerged as one of the club’s main options for the left side.
The 25-year-old remains under contract with Fenerbahçe until June 2028 and is familiar with Italian football, having previously spent time with Parma during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.
Oosterwolde’s versatility is one of the qualities that makes him attractive to Roma. He is capable of operating as a full-back, wing-back or on the left side of a back three, giving Gasperini additional tactical flexibility.
Roma have continued working on further reinforcements following the arrival of Rodrigo Mora, with the club still looking to complete the squad ahead of the new Serie A season.
Talks over Oosterwolde are now at an advanced stage, but the transfer has not yet been completed and remains dependent on a final agreement with Fenerbahçe.
