Napoli have officially completed the signing of Costantino Favasuli from Catanzaro, confirming the Italy international’s move after the 22-year-old completed his medical earlier this week.
The Serie A champions announced that Favasuli has joined on an initial loan with an obligation to buy, bringing the transfer to a formal conclusion after the two clubs had already reached an agreement over the structure of the deal.
The financial terms were not disclosed by Napoli, although reports in Italy have valued the operation at around €7 million before potential add-ons, with approximately €1 million attached to the loan and a further €6 million linked to the mandatory purchase.
Favasuli arrives after a strong season with Catanzaro in Serie B, where he made 42 appearances and scored twice. His performances also earned him senior international recognition with Italy, adding to his profile as one of the more versatile young wide players in the domestic market.
The move gives Napoli additional depth on the flanks and completes a transfer that had already entered its final stages when Favasuli travelled for medical examinations.
Sarvuno previously reported that the agreement between Napoli and Catanzaro was in place and that the player was expected to complete the move subject to the final formalities. With the official announcement now made, the status of the transfer has moved from highly advanced to fully confirmed.
Favasuli will now join Napoli’s first-team group as preparations continue for the new Serie A campaign.
