Juventus close in on Kamil Grabara as goalkeeping overhaul nears completion

Juventus are in advanced talks to sign Kamil Grabara from Wolfsburg, with the Poland international identified as the next piece in a major reshaping of Luciano Spalletti’s goalkeeping options.

Juventus are closing in on a deal to sign Kamil Grabara from Wolfsburg as the club move towards completing a major overhaul of their goalkeeping department.

Sky Sport Italia reports that negotiations between Juventus and Wolfsburg have entered the final stage, with the two clubs in regular contact to settle the remaining details of an agreement.

Grabara has been identified as the preferred option to provide cover for Guglielmo Vicario, who joined Juventus earlier this month and has immediately taken over as Luciano Spalletti’s first-choice goalkeeper.

The move would complete a rapid reshaping of the position in Turin.

Michele Di Gregorio travelled to England on Monday to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed move to Bournemouth, while Juventus have also reached an agreement for Mattia Perin to join Palermo on a permanent deal.

That leaves Grabara positioned to become Vicario’s senior understudy once negotiations with Wolfsburg are completed.

The Poland international joined Wolfsburg from Copenhagen in 2024 and made 37 appearances across all competitions last season. He also spent part of his development at Liverpool, although he never made a senior competitive appearance for the Premier League club.

Juventus have moved quickly to address their goalkeeping depth after Vicario briefly required treatment for cramp during Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Frosinone, with Perin introduced in stoppage time.

There is no official announcement from Juventus or Wolfsburg yet, but talks are now sufficiently advanced for Grabara to be expected in Italy once the final terms are agreed.
