Hull City and Torino submit offers for Fiorentina full-back Niccolò Fortini
Hull City and Torino have both submitted proposals for Fiorentina defender Niccolò Fortini, with the 20-year-old yet to decide between a move to England and remaining in Serie A.
Hull City and Torino have both submitted proposals for Fiorentina full-back Niccolò Fortini as the 20-year-old considers his next move before the transfer window closes.
According to Matteo Moretto, the two clubs have presented offers that satisfy Fiorentina’s financial demands, with both proposals structured as initial loans containing options to buy. The overall value of the deals has been reported at around €10 million, including approximately €8 million in guaranteed terms and a further €2 million in potential add-ons.
Fortini has yet to make a final decision over his destination. Torino remain an attractive option because they would allow him to continue his development in Serie A, while Hull are offering the possibility of a move to English football and a prominent role in their squad.
The defender’s preference is therefore expected to be an important factor in determining which proposal progresses. Reports in Italy suggest Fortini has not yet given definitive approval to the English option, leaving the race open between the two clubs.
A loan departure would also require Fiorentina to address Fortini’s contractual situation. His current deal runs until June 2027, and an extension would be expected before any temporary move containing a purchase option is completed.
Fortini is a product of Fiorentina’s academy and has gradually moved into senior football over the past two seasons. After gaining regular experience on loan at Juve Stabia during the 2024-25 campaign, he returned to Florence and made 16 Serie A appearances last season.
His ability to operate across the flank has made him an attractive target for clubs looking to invest in a young defender with significant first-team experience already behind him.
At this stage, neither Hull nor Torino can be considered clear favourites. Fiorentina have received acceptable proposals from both sides, but the transfer remains dependent on Fortini’s decision and the final contractual arrangements.
