Harry Kane confirms Bayern contract talks will begin within two weeks

Harry Kane has confirmed that talks over a new contract with Bayern Munich are expected to begin within the next two weeks as the Bundesliga champions look to secure the long-term future of their leading striker.

Kane returned to team training after his post-World Cup holiday and said the time had come for discussions over an extension, with his existing Bayern contract due to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season.

The England captain explained that the plan had always been to address his future after the World Cup and his summer break. He said negotiations could begin this week or next week and indicated there is no sense of urgency or tension between the two sides.
