Fulham reach agreement to sign Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt

Fulham have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Hugo Larsson on a permanent transfer, with the Sweden midfielder moving towards a deadline-day medical in London.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the clubs have reached a verbal agreement and that Larsson has been authorised to travel for medical checks. Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany has also reported a basic agreement between Fulham and Frankfurt, with the remaining details being finalised.

The package is expected to be worth around €25 million. Standard Sport has separately reported that the two clubs have agreed a permanent transfer and that Larsson has been given permission to complete the next stage of the move.

Neither Fulham nor Eintracht Frankfurt have formally announced the transfer, so the deal remains subject to the medical and final contractual and registration procedures.

Larsson, 22, joined Frankfurt from Malmö FF in 2023 and quickly established himself in the Bundesliga. His progress prompted the German club to extend his contract in October 2024, with the Sweden international tied to Frankfurt until June 2029.

The midfielder can operate in both central and deeper midfield roles, giving Fulham another option in an area of the squad they have been looking to reinforce before the window closes.

Fulham’s pursuit accelerated on deadline day after Larsson had already been in London for discussions over a potential Premier League move. Frankfurt had been seeking a permanent deal rather than a temporary exit, and the reported agreement now provides the Bundesliga club with a significant fee for a player still under a long-term contract.
