FC Porto have completed the signing of Souza on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

Both clubs have confirmed the move, with the Brazilian left-back joining the Portuguese champions until June 30, 2027.

Porto have disclosed the full structure of the agreement. The loan carries no fee and does not include an option to buy, while the Portuguese club will cover Souza’s salary during his spell at the Estádio do Dragão. Porto also confirmed that no intermediaries were involved in the transaction.

The 20-year-old joined Tottenham from Santos in January 2026 after emerging from the Brazilian club’s academy and establishing himself at senior level.

Souza made his Spurs debut as a substitute against Manchester United at Old Trafford in February and went on to make four first-team appearances during the remainder of the season.

His temporary departure gives him an opportunity to secure more regular senior football after his first months in England, while Porto add another option at left-back for Francesco Farioli.

Souza has already joined his new team-mates in training as Porto prepare for their next league fixture, meaning the move is fully completed rather than awaiting any further transfer formalities.

The arrangement also leaves Tottenham retaining complete control of Souza’s long-term future. With no purchase option included, the defender is scheduled to return to north London at the end of the season.
