Diego Moreira arrives in Milan for medical ahead of €45m move from Strasbourg

Diego Moreira has arrived in Milan to undergo medical examinations ahead of his proposed move from Strasbourg to AC Milan.

The Belgium international landed at Linate airport on Tuesday and is expected to complete the medical and contractual formalities before the transfer can be officially announced.

Sky Sport Italia reports that Milan have reached an agreement with Strasbourg worth €45 million up front, with a further package of performance-related bonuses potentially increasing the final value of the deal. The two clubs completed negotiations on Monday, allowing Moreira to travel to Italy for the final stages of the move.

Gianluca Di Marzio also confirmed the winger’s arrival in Milan on Tuesday, with Moreira now moving through the standard medical process before signing his contract.

The deal represents a significant investment in a player who has developed rapidly since leaving Chelsea for Strasbourg in 2024. Moreira became an important part of the French club’s attacking structure and established himself at senior international level with Belgium before attracting Milan’s attention.

His profile offers Milan flexibility across the left side of the pitch. Moreira has operated both as a winger and in a more withdrawn wide role, combining direct carrying ability with the athleticism to contribute without the ball.

Milan’s move has developed quickly in recent days. Once negotiations with Strasbourg accelerated, the Italian club moved to close the agreement and bring the player to Italy without allowing the process to extend deeper into the final weeks of the transfer window.

The transfer is not yet official. Moreira must complete his medical tests and sign the relevant documents before Milan can formally register and announce him as a new player.
