Coventry complete Sidiki Cherif signing from Fenerbahçe

Coventry City have completed the permanent signing of 19-year-old forward Sidiki Cherif from Fenerbahçe as the newly promoted Premier League club continue an ambitious summer rebuild.

The club confirmed that Cherif has signed a long-term contract, with the transfer reported to be worth around £20.5 million. Coventry have not disclosed the fee officially.

Cherif arrives after spending last season in Turkey with Fenerbahçe, where he made 12 appearances in the Süper Lig and scored twice. The young forward had previously developed in France with Angers before making the move to Istanbul.

His arrival represents another significant investment from Coventry as they prepare for their return to the Premier League. Cherif becomes the club’s eighth signing of the summer, with their reported spending during the window now exceeding £90 million.

Coventry have moved aggressively to strengthen across several areas of the squad following promotion, adding both established top-level experience and younger players with development potential.
