Costantino Favasuli set for Napoli medical after Catanzaro farewell

Costantino Favasuli is set to undergo a medical with Napoli on Tuesday as his proposed move from Catanzaro enters its final stages.
Nicolò Schira reported on Sunday that the 22-year-old is expected at Villa Stuart for medical checks before signing his contract with the Serie A champions. The latest update followed Favasuli’s apparent farewell to Catanzaro supporters, further indicating that his departure is now close.
Napoli’s agreement for the midfielder had already been reported earlier in the week. Fabrizio Romano said the clubs had reached a verbal agreement on a package worth around €7 million, while Schira subsequently reported a structure involving a €1 million loan fee and a €6 million obligation to buy.
Those financial details have not been confirmed by either club and should therefore remain treated as reported figures rather than official terms.
The medical had initially been expected to take place earlier, but administrative delays reportedly pushed the schedule back. Tuesday is now understood to be the revised date for the final checks before the transfer can be completed.
Favasuli spent last season with Catanzaro and has attracted Napoli’s attention as the club continues to add depth and younger options to its squad ahead of the new Serie A campaign.
Despite the advanced stage of negotiations, Napoli have not yet announced the signing and Favasuli remains a Catanzaro player until the medical, contractual formalities and registration process are completed.
The move is therefore best described as highly advanced rather than official, with the scheduled medical now representing the clearest indication that the transfer is approaching completion.
