Brighton sign Femi Azeez from Millwall on four-year deal
Brighton have completed the signing of Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract after the clubs used a deal sheet to finalise the transfer beyond the initial deadline.

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract.
The Premier League club officially announced the transfer on Wednesday after the two sides used a deal sheet to extend the deadline for completing the move beyond Tuesday night’s 11pm cut-off.
Brighton confirmed that the necessary paperwork was concluded before the extended 1am deadline. The club have not disclosed the transfer fee, although British reporting had placed the agreement at around £15 million.
Azeez arrives after two seasons at Millwall, where he developed into one of the Championship’s most productive wide players.
The 25-year-old made 77 appearances for the Lions, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists after joining from Reading in 2024.
His final season at The Den brought individual recognition as well as a Championship play-off campaign. Azeez was named in both the PFA and EFL Championship teams of the season for 2025/26 after playing a central role in Millwall’s attack.
His progress has also taken him into senior international football with Nigeria. Azeez scored twice on his debut in a 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in June before providing an assist against Jamaica four days later.
The move represents another significant step in a career that began outside the professional leagues. After spending time in Watford’s youth system, Azeez played for Northwood, Wealdstone and Hanwell Town before joining Reading in 2019 and eventually establishing himself in the Championship.
Brighton now add a winger capable of playing on either flank and arriving off the strongest senior season of his career.
There is no remaining uncertainty over completion: Azeez has signed his four-year Brighton contract and the club have formally confirmed his transfer from Millwall. The only major detail left undisclosed is the final financial structure of the deal.
