Blackburn Rovers are close to signing Gady Beyuku from Modena after reaching an agreement for the French youth international defender.

The transfer has not yet been officially announced, but reports in France and England say Blackburn have struck a deal for the 20-year-old, who has agreed a four-year contract. The move remains subject to medical checks, leaving it advanced rather than complete.

Foot Mercato reports the package is worth around €1.3m including bonuses, a manageable fee for Blackburn but still a meaningful investment in a young player arriving from Italian football. The structure gives Rovers a development signing with first-team experience rather than a purely academy-level addition.

Beyuku spent last season with Modena in Serie B, where he made 30 appearances, scored once and provided one assist. His performances also kept him involved with France at youth level, strengthening his profile as a right-sided defender with room to grow.

For Blackburn, the move addresses both depth and future value. Beyuku is not being signed as a finished Championship player, but his experience in Italy gives him a stronger platform than many 20-year-old imports, especially in a position where physicality and defensive discipline matter quickly.
