Barcelona complete Dominik Livaković signing on four-year deal

Barcelona have completed the signing of Dominik Livaković from Fenerbahçe, securing the Croatia international on a four-year contract as the club moves early to reshape its long-term goalkeeping structure.

The transfer was confirmed by Barcelona on Thursday, with Livaković signing a deal running until 30 June 2030. Fenerbahçe also announced his departure, giving the move full official confirmation from both clubs.

The 31-year-old arrives with extensive international and European experience and is expected to strengthen a position Barcelona have been planning around beyond the immediate season. His arrival gives the club another senior option while also creating greater flexibility around the future of the goalkeeping department.

Barcelona’s decision is notable because Livaković is not being recruited purely as a short-term emergency solution. The financial terms have been reported differently in Spain. Marca has put the deal at €2 million plus €500,000 in add-ons, while AS has reported €2 million plus a further €2 million in variables. Neither figure has been confirmed by Barcelona in its official announcement, so the precise final package should be treated as reported rather than definitive.

Livaković joins after three seasons with Fenerbahçe, having previously established his reputation at Dinamo Zagreb and with Croatia. He has been a central figure for his national team across major tournaments and brings a profile built on shot-stopping, experience under pressure and a high volume of senior appearances.

For Barcelona, the value of the deal is therefore less about headline spending and more about timing. The club has added an established international goalkeeper on a long contract at a relatively modest reported fee, while keeping future decisions over the position open.
