Arsenal discuss Victor Osimhen with Galatasaray amid Martinelli talks

Arsenal have discussed Victor Osimhen with Galatasaray during talks between the two clubs over potential summer transfers involving Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri.

The Telegraph reports that Osimhen’s availability was raised during discussions between Arsenal and the Turkish champions, with the Premier League club continuing to assess opportunities in the market.

The talks do not represent an agreement for Osimhen, nor is there currently evidence that Arsenal have submitted a formal offer for the Nigeria international.

Galatasaray’s interest in Arsenal players has provided the backdrop to the discussions. talkSPORT reports that the Turkish club have made a verbal offer worth around £38.5 million for Martinelli, although the Brazilian winger is understood to have reservations about a move to Turkey.

Ethan Nwaneri has also been discussed between the clubs, with Galatasaray exploring the possibility of adding another Arsenal player to their squad.

The emergence of Osimhen’s name adds a significant dimension to those negotiations. The striker remains one of the most established goalscorers available to clubs capable of completing a major transfer, and his combination of movement, physical strength and finishing would offer Arsenal a different profile at the top of the pitch.

For Arsenal, however, the situation remains exploratory.
